About BAT Pros
BAT Pros (Business Aviation Technology Professionals) is the professional organization for business aviation technology. It is free to join, it is the home of the annual BAT Summit, and it is powered by ForIT.
What BAT Pros is
BAT Pros brings together the member companies that build the systems business aviation runs on and the professionals who run them: technologists, IT and operations leaders, and the people who work with these systems every day. Its member roster is the business-aviation technology vendor directory, where companies claim or submit a listing with their logo, category and details, in front of the people who buy.
Two ways in, both free
Professionals join free for a seat in the network, the BAT Brief in their inbox, and first word when BAT Summit opens. Vendor companies list free in the directory. Neither pays to join, and joining never will cost anything; vendor-side upgrades come later. Become a member from the home page.
BAT Summit, the annual event
Once a year the organization meets in one room at BAT Summit, the Business Aviation Technology Summit: a one-day, vendor-neutral demo summit where vendors demo in glass pods and pitch live from a central stage, an AI hackathon ships real prototypes, and a cocktail evening opens it all the night before. The inaugural summit is in September 2027 at the Montreal Science Centre in Montreal's Old Port.
Who is behind it
BAT Pros was founded by two people from inside business aviation, and there is no outside owner. Ben Thomas is the founder of ForIT and a fractional CTO and CIO for airlines and charter operators. Shaan Bhanji is a business-aviation executive who leads the events side of the summit; Shaan's company, VOL, builds the reservation, workforce and regulatory software that Canadian business aviation runs on.

ForIT is a managed service provider for aviation, with fractional CTO and CIO leadership and a software development team that builds software for airlines and charter operators. ForIT designs, builds and runs the BAT Pros and BAT Summit websites, including the member directory, sign-in and registration, and handles support for both sites.
